Ingredients
  • 2 medium apples
  • 2 dl of flour
  • 1½ dl of Lura beer
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • Oil for frying
  • Sugar and cinnamon for topping (optional)
Preparation
  1. Wash, rinse and remove the core from the apples
  2. Cut the apples into 6 round pieces each
  3. Prepare a sauce out of the lemon juice, the sugar and the cinnamon and pour it onto the apple pieces, mixing well
  4. Place some oil in a pan, enough to make a thin layer
  5. Mix the flour, the beer and the salt together till doughy texture is reached
  6. When the oil will be hot, dip the apple rounds into the beer dough and put them into the pan, leaving enough space so that the apples will not touch and stick with each other *
  7. Turn the apples so that they'll get a nice brown color in both sides
  8. Place the ready apples in a plate covered with blotting paper, so to take the excess of oil away
  9. Sprinkle with more sugar and cinnamon (optional)
Notes
* Depending on how big is your frying pan, you'll have to make several rounds to fry all the apple pieces.
